Premier League Darts - Night 6 - Liverpool Live Streaming

Premier League Darts travel to Liverpool for their sixth night of play on Thursday, with a replay of last week's final among the highlights.

The sixth of 16 weekly knockouts sees  eight stars compete in the M&S Bank Arena for leaderboard points plus a weekly bonus of £10,000.

The first five action-packed nights saw four different winners and seven different runners-up, with just two points separating  the runners-up and sixth-place finishers.

Defending champion Michael van Gerwen leads the table by 15 points, six points clear of his rivals, and is aiming for a hat-trick of weekly titles.

Van Gerwen repeated last year's performance by winning both Night Four and Night Five, leaving Dublin and Exeter with a £10,000 bonus to prove his authority in the competition. However, the world number three held a 9-7 lead after an 11-10 loss to Andrew Gilding in Sunday's UK Open final and will try to make amends for this painful  system loss at the first opportunity. . Van Gerwen opens  against 2021 Premier League champions Jonny Clayton, the man he beat 6-3 in the final last week. Clayton is keen to avoid a third straight loss to MVG by beating them in Dublin by the same result, but he will keep fond memories of Merseyside having won the Night Two title here last year with a semi-final win over the incoming Dutch has. .

Clayton, who topped the rankings last year after winning four weekday titles, is yet to step down from the role in 2023 and is set for a strong start this week.

Former world champions Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright face off in the opening game of the night.

Wright faces a desperate battle for points as the only player  to have claimed a  Premier League win this season and is already at risk of missing out on his play-off spot.

The world number two had a shock in his last 16 knockouts against Richie Burnett at the weekend's UK Open, but his highlight of the season so far has been beating Price 11-5 in the final with an average of 102 and his won Nordic champions in January.

Price notably clinched the Night Two title at home  in Cardiff but regretted what could have happened in Dublin two weeks later when he lost seven  darts to MVG in the final.
,
Van Gerwen beat 'Iceman' for the  last time  averaging just £89 in a 6-3 quarter-final defeat in cold Exeter.

Meanwhile, Michael Smith is trying to  pressure leaders Van Gerwen as he fights for his second weekly title of the campaign.

The world number one and world champion, who has been struggling with an arm injury  in recent weeks, lost 6-3 in the quarter-finals to Nathan Aspinall  last week and was beaten 10-9 by Luke Humphries in the round of 32 in the UK . Open.

Smith makes the short trip from St Helens to Liverpool to take on Dimitri van den Bergh, who has seven points to his credit after finishing second on night three and making the semi-finals on nights one and five.

The Belgian superstar put on a superb performance in his first semi-final of the UK Open on Sunday in Minehead, beating Mervyn King and Gary Anderson  before meeting arch-rivals MVG  again.

Former UK Open champion Nathan Aspinall is looking to cement his place in the top four by extending Chris Dobey's winning streak to five weeks.

Premier League runners-up 2020 Aspinall has three weekly semi-finals and one final under his belt so far this season and is continuing his winning streak by finishing in the last eight at the recent UK Open - where he went 10-6 Eliminated by Van Gerwen in the quality competition.Dobey started his debut Premier League season like a dream, clinching stardom on his first night in Belfast last month. Since then, however, he has  struggled with consistency and still needs to increase his record by five points.

The defending Masters champion defeated Aspinall 6-4  en route to the Night One title in the semifinals and will be looking to overtake his close friend and stop the rot.

Night Six of  Premier League Darts 2023 starts in Liverpool at 19:00 GMT with all games being played as a best-of-11.
